Refunds and cancellation

Effective 28 September 2026. Applies to every Juto subscription bought through the app. Sales-assisted agreements may set different terms in writing, and those take precedence.

The short version: a new organisation can try Juto free before paying, on any plan that offers a free trial. Cancel whenever you like, and keep whatever you have already paid for until it runs out. We do not refund payments once they have been made, except where we charged you in error or the law requires it.

Free trial

Where a plan offers a free trial, the trial length is shown on the pricing page and at checkout. You enter a payment method to start it, and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Seven days before the first charge we email you the exact amount, tax included, and the date it will be taken.

Cancel at any point during the trial from Settings → Billing and you will not be charged. If you do nothing, your plan starts automatically on the day the trial ends and your first payment is taken then.

Each organisation gets one free trial. If your organisation has had a trial or a paid plan before, a new subscription is paid from day one.

In Nigeria, starting a trial by card involves a ₦50 verification charge that is refunded straight away. It is how the card is checked without charging you for the plan.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee. You choose when it takes effect:

Only an organisation administrator can cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not delete your data (see below).

Refunds

Subscription payments, whether monthly or annual, are not refundable. This includes the unused part of an annual plan if you cancel part-way through the year, the unused part of a month, and any add-ons you have paid for. The free trial is there so you can decide before you pay.

There are two exceptions:

If you believe a charge is wrong, email [email protected] from an administrator’s email address with the invoice number. We reply within three working days.

Renewals

Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year at the price shown on your invoice, on the payment method you used. If you paid by bank transfer or USSD, we email you an invoice seven days before renewal so you can pay the same way. Cancelling at the end of the period, as above, stops the renewal.

Changing plans

You can move to a higher or lower plan at any time. The change takes effect immediately and the new price applies from your next invoice. We do not charge or refund the difference for the rest of the current period. Moving to a lower plan is only possible if your organisation fits within that plan’s limits on entities, users, bank connections and employees.

If a payment fails

If a renewal payment fails, we tell the administrators and try the card again over the following days. You have seven days to update your payment method, during which Juto keeps working with a reminder shown in the app. After seven days without payment the organisation becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view and export your data, and pay, but not record anything new. If it is still unpaid after a further thirty days the subscription is cancelled.

Your data after cancellation

When a subscription ends, your organisation stays available in read-only mode. Administrators and members can still sign in, look at every record, and export the data, and an administrator can subscribe again at any time to pick up where you left off.

We will not delete a cancelled organisation’s data without emailing its administrators at least thirty days beforehand. You can also ask us to delete it sooner by emailing [email protected].
